Ingredients

  • 100 g Foxtail Millet (washed and soaked)
  • 500 ml Water
  • 1 tsp Green Chilli (finely chopped)
  • 0.25 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 10 Curry Leaves (washed)
  • 1.5 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Ginger (grated)
  • 40 g Carrot (chopped)
  • 50 g Frozen Peas
  • 8 Cashews
  • 1 tsp Hing
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar

Instructions

Add initial ingredients to jar

Add ghee, mustard seeds, curry leaves, and hing to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Select sauté mode at 110°C for 30 seconds. The device will automatically stir.

The device will now sauté aromatics and cook vegetables

Add the chopped onion, green chilli, ginger, and carrot to The Upliance 2.0 jar. The device will now sauté at 95°C for 2 minutes with automatic stirring. Add soaked millets, water, salt, and sugar. The Upliance 2.0 will cook at 95°C for 180 seconds with automatic stirring.

Repeat the above with remaining ingredients

Add frozen peas to The Upliance 2.0 jar. The device will continue cooking at 95°C for 10 minutes with automatic stirring.

The dish is ready

Once cooked, transfer the Upma to a bowl. Garnish with cashews and curry leaves. The dish is ready to serve.
