Also known as Bisi Bele Huliyanna, Bisi Bele Bath is essentially a spicy dish made with rice, lentils and vegetables that is tempered with typical South Indian spices and nuts. A special spice blend called the Bisi Bele Bath powder is also added to it, which gives it the authentic taste. Pair with Curd/Raita
Add ghee, cinnamon, mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, and red chillies to The Upliance jar. The device will sauté on medium heat for 30 seconds. Add quartered onions and potatoes; the device will chop them automatically.
The device will sauté the chopped vegetables on high heat for 5 minutes with automatic stirring until the raw smell disappears and aromatics are released.
Add soaked rice, dal, carrots, peas, water, Bisi Bele Bhath powder, tamarind paste, and seasoning spices. The device will cook on high heat for 6 minutes, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 40 minutes with continuous stirring.
The Bisi Bele Bhath is now cooked to a porridge-like consistency. Garnish with cashews and curry leaves fried in ghee. Serve hot with raita or chips.
