A popular South Indian rice recipe, tomato rice can be made easily with leftover rice, tomatoes, and a bunch of spices. Pair with Raita/Curd
Add 2 tbsp Refined Oil, 15 washed Curry Leaves, 2 Dried Red Chillies (stems removed), 0.5 tsp Hing, and 0.25 tsp Mustard Seeds to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Select sauté mode at 100°C for 90 seconds with speed 14. The device will now sauté the spices.
Add 2 cut tomatoes, 1.25 tsp Coriander Powder, 0.5 tsp Garam Masala, 1 tsp Kashmiri Mirch, and 1 tsp Salt to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Select the ‘Sautéing Tomato’ preset at 95°C for 300 seconds with speed 1, followed by 10 seconds at speed 12. The device will now sauté and cook the tomatoes with spices.
Add 140g washed Sona Masoori Rice and 380ml water to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Add silver foil. Select the ‘Cooking Tomato Rice’ preset. The device will now cook the rice with the tomato and spice mixture at 95°C for a total of 1620 seconds (720 seconds at speed 0, followed by 900 seconds with stir duty 6 and stir angle 140).
Remove the silver foil. Garnish with 4 stems of minced Coriander Leaves. Let the rice sit for 5 minutes in The Upliance 2.0 jar to fluff out before serving.
