Crisp lettuce is the star of this simple lettuce salad recipe which gets done in 5 mins, with the easiest dry base dressing and a good sprinkle of seeds and peanuts. Use crispy lettuce such as Romaine or red leaf lettuce for best results

Ingredients

  • 150 g Iceberg Lettuce (washed)
  • 100 g Cherry tomatoes (washed)
  • 70 g Roasted Salted Peanuts
  • 0.5 tbsp Tamarind Paste
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 0.25 tsp Groundnut Oil
  • 10 g Sunflower Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Groundnut Oil

Add ingredients to jar

Add 150g washed Iceberg Lettuce and 100g washed Cherry tomatoes to The Upliance 2.0 jar. The device will then automatically chop the vegetables. Note: Due to the high water content of lettuce and tomatoes, hand chopping is recommended before adding to the Upliance 2.0 jar for optimal results.

The device will now prepare the flavour base

Add 70g Roasted Salted Peanuts, 0.5 tbsp Tamarind Paste, 2 tsp Sugar, 0.25 tsp Groundnut Oil to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Select the 'mix' mode at 20°C for 5 seconds. The Upliance 2.0 will automatically stir and mix the ingredients.

Combine and garnish

Add the prepared flavour base to the chopped vegetables in The Upliance 2.0 jar. Add 10g Sunflower seeds and 1 tbsp Groundnut Oil. The Upliance 2.0 will gently mix everything together.

The dish is ready

The Upliance 2.0 will signal completion. Carefully transfer the salad to a serving bowl. Enjoy!
