    Ingredients

    • 200 g Bitter Gourd (peeled and sliced)
    • 600 ml Water
    • 1.5 tsp Salt
    • 1 piece Onion (halved)
    • 2 tbsp Refined Oil
    • 0.25 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
    • 0.125 tsp Methi Seeds (Fenugreek)
    • 10 leaves Curry Leaves (washed)
    • 10 g Split Urad Dal
    • 0.5 tbsp Coriander Seeds
    • 2 tbsp Tamarind Paste
    • 1 tsp Jaggery Powder

    Boil the bitter gourd

    Add sliced bitter gourd, water, and salt to The Upliance jar. The device will boil the vegetable on low heat for 10 minutes to tenderize it. Once done, strain the gourd and set aside.

    Sauté aromatics and onion

    Add oil, jeera, methi, curry leaves, urad dal, coriander seeds, and the onion to The Upliance jar. The device will now cut the onion and sauté the mixture on low heat with automatic stirring.

    Add seasoning and gourd

    Add the previously boiled bitter gourd, tamarind paste, jaggery powder, and remaining salt to The Upliance jar. The device will mix the ingredients gently to coat the vegetable.

    Final slow cook

    The device will now cook the masala on medium heat for about 15 minutes until the flavors are well blended. The dish is ready to be served hot with chapatis.
