This recipe is a traditional Moroccan dish of chicken braised with spices, garlic, onion, olives, and lemon juice. Chicken is slow-cooked with green olives to create a burst of flavors which is enhanced by parsley. Pair with rice/bread or naan
Add 3 tbsp Pomace Olive Oil, 0.75 tsp Jeera Powder, and 2 inches Cinnamon Stick to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Select sauté mode at 100°C for 30 seconds. The device will now temper the spices.
Add 500g marinated Chicken to The Upliance 2.0 jar. The device will now sauté the chicken with spices at 95°C for 480 seconds with automatic stirring. Then it will simmer at 95°C for 600 seconds with automatic stirring.
Add 12 pieces Green Olives, 90ml Water, 0.5 tbsp Lemon Juice, 10 cloves peeled Garlic, 5g peeled Ginger, 4 pieces cut Green Chilli, and 0.5 tsp Coriander Powder, 2 tsp Cinnamon Powder, 0.75 tsp Kashmiri Mirch, 1 tsp Garam Masala, 2 tsp Jeera Powder to The Upliance 2.0 jar. The device will cook at 95°C for 300 seconds with automatic stirring (stir duty 6, stir angle 140).
Add 10 stems of washed and trimmed Parsley and 1 unit of Onion (with outer layer removed) to The Upliance 2.0 jar for garnish. The Chicken Tajine is ready to be served.
